The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus is located in the center of Little Rock and is the center of medical education for the state of Arkansas. The graduate programs on this campus are the only ones in the state offering advanced degrees in the biomedical sciences. The campus is comprised of the Graduate School, College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, College of Health Professions, and College of Public Health.

UAMS is listed among the top U.S. Colleges of Medicine in its rate of growth and is the fastest growing medical sciences campus in the South. World-class scientists and physicians continue to be recruited to UAMS, facilitating this dramatic rise and providing new scientific and educational opportunities.
Located just ten minutes away from UAMS is the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA-Little Rock), a 150-acre campus which offers undergraduate and post-graduate degrees.

Many students live in an on-campus dormitory, but ample housing within walking distance is readily available to students. A Health and Fitness Center, giving reduced rates to students, is also within a quarter mile of campus.
